Introduction of territorial dialogue to elected representatives in Est Creuse, France

On February 12th 2020, the elected representatives of the Association of Communities Creuse Confluence and Marche et Combraille en Aquitaine were introduced to territorial dialogue: what is it? how does it work? for what purpose? This introduction was an opportunity to identify the needs and expectations of elected people, as well as their fears or doubts on participative processes linked to previous bad experiences.

During the introduction, the elected representatives shaped the local dialogue process, in particular by precising the decision-making instances and calendar, and identified the groups of interest to involve in the dialogue and with whom the first interviews will be conducted.

The next step is the conduct of the interviews scheduled throughout June (initially in March) with the groups of interest in order to facilitate the moderation of the dialogue sessions and mutual understanding between groups of interest.
