On January 14th and 15th of 2020, the first session of preparation for the territorial dialogue process was held, which aims to contribute for the rehabilitation work of the sports pavilion of the Póvoa de Lanhoso High School, in Portugal.
This process prepares for the group activity nº 2 of the project. A method of participatory democracy was initiated aiming to promote an active intervention of citizens in the project building procedures, through the application of a methodology that will identify the needs from the stakeholders and use them as a basis for the construction of consensus and the final decision making.
In the first session of this process, representatives of the users of the sports space were individually interviewed, collaborating in the identification of the different needs related to its renovation. With this dialogue process, it is intended that the pavilion renovation plan has been conceived and validated in a collaborative way by all the parties involved, guaranteeing the transparency of the project and process towards the building’s users.
